Orsted completed the acquisition of Eversource's 50 percent stake in their 924-MW JV. : Danish wind developer Ørsted AS has completed the acquisition of Eversource Energy’s 50 percent stake in their joint venture Sunrise Wind, a 924-megawatt (MW) project set to rise offshore New York. Sunrise Wind, the state’s biggest offshore wind project, recently achieved all federal permits, the award of capacity from state authorities and the contract from New York’s energy development authority — conditions agreed for the completion of the full-takeover transaction.
