The 130MW deals represent Octopus’s entry into Irish market and expansion in France. : Octopus Renewables has moved into the Irish wind farm market and expanded its French portfolio with the acquisition of assets worth over €100m. The specialist clean energy investing arm of Octopus Group said it has agreed to buy 9 wind farms across France, the UK and Ireland from renewable energy firm RES in two deals. The wind farms are a mix of operational and construction-ready facilities across England, Wales, Ireland and France, totalling 130MW. Six of the wind farms are in France.
