he pace of venture capital buy-in to bitcoin doesn’t seem to be slowing. Bitnet, a provider of an enterprise solution that allows merchants to accept bitcoin payments, announced this morning the closing of a $14.5 million Series A funding round from Highland Capital Partners and existing investors. Founded in January of this year by John McDonnell and Stephen Mc Namara, Bitnet has offices in San Francisco and Belfast and plans to expand its physical presence into continental Europe and Asia.
