Investors of OrbiMed Private Investments VI include medical research institutions, endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds. Fund VI will focus on companies in North America and Europe in the following sectors: biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and healthcare information technology. OrbiMed said it expects to invest in about 30 portfolio companies in amounts ranging from $10 million to $75 million.
