A venture capital fund based on Islamic finance principles, claiming to be the first of its kind globally, is set to be initiated by the end of the month as the result of a joint initiative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Malaysia’s state-owned investment firm Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad.
