— Investor Patrick Ennis plans to join Madrona Venture Group at the end of May. Ennis worked at Intellectual Ventures for more than a decade, where he served as head of incubation and startup creation at the Seattle-area company. He’s also the CTO of Xinova, a spinout of Intellectual Ventures that uses a large network of inventors to help clients solve problems. Prior to Intellectual Ventures, Ennis was a managing director at life sciences venture capital firm ARCH Venture Partners, where he shared office space with Madrona. Ennis also has a doctorate in nuclear physics.
