Hedge funds gained 0.64% in October, according to the latest reading of SS&C GlobeOp’s Hedge Fund Performance Index. This compares to a loss of -1.56% in September. The measure is the latest hedge fund industry performance metric to reflect the market rebound last month. The return brings the measure’s year-to-date gross performance up to 5.18%. The asset-weighted index flashes a monthly estimate of the gross aggregate performance of funds for which SS&C GlobeOp provides monthly administration services on its platform.
