Seattle startup Cloudentity announced a $13 million Series A investment round to grow its security software. The startup helps Fortune 500 companies protect their APIs, users, and services with its “Continuous Contextual Authorization.” “As enterprises move to the cloud, they are adopting distributed microservices and API-first applications, which present performance and security risks to identity and authorization platforms that are required to safely deploy applications,” Cloudentity co-founder Nathanael Coffing said in a statement. Coffing helped launch the company with Lukasz Radosz.
