Satellites startup ICEYE has raised $34 million to build and launch satellites capable of taking images through clouds. : Imaging satellite startup ICEYE, which makes satellites that are capable of seeing through clouds to provide clear pictures of the surface, announced Thursday that it has raised $34 million in a Series B funding round. Investors in the round include True Ventures, Draper Nexus, Space Angels, Promus Ventures and others. ICEYE manufactures microsatellites that are smaller than 100kg but capable of imaging the Earth using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) rather than cameras or spectroscopes.
