Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Oklahoma City, approved $16 million total in alternatives commitments on behalf of its endowment trust fund, spokeswoman Angela Caddell said in an e-mail to Pensions & Investments.

The regents committed $6 million to Genstar Capital Partners VII, a buyout fund.

The regents also approved $5 million commitments each to OrbiMed Private Investments VI, a venture capital fund managed by OrbiMed Advisors, and Avalon Ventures XI, an early-stage seed fund.

The ObriMed and Avalon commitments are provisional and subject to final approval.
