Austin-based <a href="http://www.mysanantonio.com/search/?action=search&channel=business%2Feagle-ford-energy&inlineLink=1&searchindex=solr&query=%22MMEX+Resources%22">MMEX Resources</a> purchased 126-acres of land in Pecos County, marking the first step in its quest to build a 50,000-barrel-a-day refinery in West Texas, the company said Monday.
