<p>As Malaysia charts its way for a business landscape that is more friendly to private equity and venture capital (PE/VC) activity, the number and the total value of deals in 2016 also hint at a recovery.</p>
<p>Malaysia witnessed 27 deals worth about $1.13 billion in 2016 compared to the rather subdued performance in the previous year with 21 deals which were valued at $46 million.</p>
