Between January and September of 2015, Irvine-based companies raised nearly $278 million in venture capital. The second-highest VC city was Newport Beach, where companies raised $57 million during the same period, according to a report released by Jones Lang LaSalle Research and PricewaterhouseCoopers MoneyTree.
