Ideo, the design firm that helped Steve Jobs design the first Apple mouse, is now investing in what it calls distributed web technologies to revolutionize the internet. The firm has set up a venture-capital fund, and it plans to make as many as a dozen investments this year on top of the six it's already made. The former Citigroup execs Ian Lee and Daniel Hodd are helping with the effort, alongside Joe Gerber, a longtime Ideo manager.
