His new company, Anduril, takes on traditional defense contractors with next-generation tech. The company's lesser-known cofounder and chief executive is Brian Schimpf, who rose the engineering ranks at Palantir and joined Anduril with the goal of equipping government agencies with the most advanced defense technology on the planet.
