Mumbai-based LoanTap Financial Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a digital platform that offers loans and overdraft products to salaried professionals, has raised $6.25 million (around Rs 42.8 crore) in a fresh round of funding led by Chinese venture capital firm Shunwei Capital, a company statement said on Thursday. Mumbai-based investment firm Tuscan Ventures; Ashish Goenka, managing director of Suashish Diamonds; existing investors VC firms India Quotient and Kae Capital also participated in the round, the statement added. LoanTap has raised over $20 million in debt and equity, so far. It also plans to leverage an additional $30 million in debt this year.
