I last covered the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ex China ETF (NASDAQ:EMXC) in early 2023. In that article, I argued that EMXC provided diversified exposure to emerging market equities, and that its exclusion of Chinese issuers would be beneficial in case of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. EMXC has underperformed the S&P 500 since, somewhat underperforming expectations. Overall, I believe that there are stronger emerging market ETFs out there, including the Cambria Emerging Shareholder Yield ETF (BATS:EYLD), and the Avantis Emerging Markets Value ETF (NYSEARCA:AVES).
