After nearly a half year of deliberations, rumors, suggested buyouts and continued board frustration, it appears that D.C. tech unicorn—a startup turned billion dollar company—and enterprise-class cloud company Virtustream will in fact become a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMC rather than a joint venture with struggling data giant VMware.
