At the $6.5 billion YMCA Retirement Fund, Neil is responsible for (a) oversight and evaluation of both Public and Private investments, (b) helping to lead Asset Allocation, and (c) managing the 8 person investment staff responsible for investing in Public Equity (globally), Hedge funds (Directional and Diversifying), Credit (Public and Private), Distressed, and Special Situations. Neil earned dual bachelors’ degrees in Systems Engineering and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Wharton School. Neil has over 19 years of direct investment experience (as a portfolio manager, trader, analyst, and structurer) as well as in endowment management. From 2009 to 2014, Neil served as the Director of Marketable Investments with the investment office of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Past work experience also includes senior investing roles with: Wells Fargo on the high yield proprietary capital desk; fixed income hedge fund firm Aladdin Capital; hedge fund seeder / fund-of-funds manager Asset Alliance as the Co-Head of Research and Investment; and, Barclays Capital as a CDO structurer. Neil began his career with MetLife Investments where he rotated across the Emerging Market sovereign and corporate trading desk and credit research team.
