Matt is an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of Business. From Seattle, he has split his career between aerospace and financial services. Prior to Wharton, he was the Corporate Analysis Manager of Vulcan, Inc., the entity through which Microsoft Co-founder, Paul Allen, pursues a variety of investments, business ventures, and philanthropic endeavors. At Vulcan, Matt was pivotal in bringing together its venture capital and aerospace groups to pursue strategic venture investments in micro-satellite and reusable launch platforms. Additionally, Matt led the development of a fully integrated investment analysis system to inform strategy and increase the overall analytical rigor of investment decision making at the organization’s highest level.
Prior to Vulcan, Matt was a Senior Valuations Associate at Grant Thornton, focused on valuing venture backed technology companies in Seattle and along the west coast. Earlier in his career, Matt rose through the ranks as an aerospace supply chain financial analyst at Boeing, eventually joining its investment subsidiary, Boeing Capital Corporate. Matt is also a CFA charterholder and received his undergraduate finance degree with honors from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
