Kevin Bauer
Mr. Bauer is a Managing Director at Global H2O Investments (GHI). GHI is an investment arm of a US-based family private equity office, that focuses on providing capital for developing new or acquiring existing water, wastewater and "waste-to-value" infrastructure assets in North America, the Caribbean and South America. GHI also provides capital for direct investments in wastewater and waste management companies that focus on renewable energy and by-product recovery business models. The Company’s headquarters are located in Houston, TX and has offices in San Diego, CA and Baja Sur, Mexico.
Prior to co-founding GHI, Mr. Bauer founded East West Utilities, LLC (EWU), a company focused on designing, building, owning and operating desalination and wastewater plants for resort-oriented projects in Mexico and the Caribbean. As President of EWU, the company became the leading brand of desalination plants in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Prior to EWU, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Archimedes Technology and ARCHIS (an Archimedes subsidiary), both privately-held energy technology companies focused on improving the efficiency and safety of nuclear power generation and the nuclear fuel cycle. Mr. Bauer previously spent eight years in the investment banking industry, primarily with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston, advising private equity and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and public and private financings. During his investment banking career, Mr. Bauer worked on more than 40 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $5.0 billion. Mr. Bauer earned a B.A. in Economics from Washington and Lee University and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
