After graduating from Bristol University in 1988 with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, Kayte, Head of Alternative Investments, joined BAPIML initially as a European Portfolio Manager. She attained the IIMR qualifications and worked for a time on the advisory panel setting the economics papers for the IIMR institute (before it became part of the CFA). She was made Head of European Equities at BAPIML in 1995. In 2002 she moved to her current role as Head of Alternative Assets. BAPIML is responsible for managing over £13bn. pension assets across two funds, invested in a broad range of assets, the majority of which are managed internally. Alternative asset classes in which the fund has been actively investing include private equity, infrastructure, commodities and leveraged loans.
