I am experienced in the analysis of Alternative Investments, Equity, and Fixed Income securities. In over 18 years in the equity research and investment management industry I have developed specialized skills analyzing a number of different asset classes. I currently specialize in alternative investments such as hedge funds, private credit, private equity, private equity fund of funds, real estate, private equity real estate, real estate investment trusts (REITs), infrastructure, and commodities. I am currently responsible for managing the Credit Hedge Fund portfolio at the Texas Permanent School Fund. Strategies include both liquid, private, and distressed credit opportunities. Liquid opportunities include RMBS, CMBS, ABS, etc. Private opportunities include direct lending, non-performing loan, re-performing loan, real estate, etc. Distressed opportunities include credit-related and post-reorg equity opportunities. I was previously responsible for the hedge fund allocation for two billion dollar trusts and was instrumental in the build out of the real asset and private equity allocations of both trusts. I started my professional career in the Equity Research Department at Bank of America where I was on the research team in the Application Software and Leisure sectors. Further to my goal of continually improving my knowledge base I am a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
