Jayesh Bhansali, CFA, CAIA is the chief investment officer at IRIQIV, an investment advisory firm. Previously, he served as managing director and head of global derivatives and quantitative fixed-income portfolio management and as the Lead Portfolio Manager for General Account’s Fixed Income Immediate Annuity portfolio at TIAA (1996-2018) with $70 bln. in AUM. As a member of TIAA’s senior investment management team, he was also closely involved in the organization’s $240 bln. general account asset allocation, portfolio construction, asset liability management, capital optimization strategies and risk compliance matters.
Mr. Bhansali is a thought leader on topics ranging from strategic, tactical asset allocation and tail risk management to new product development, such as CPI-linked annuities and smart beta fixed-income ETFs.
He is on the Board of Trustees for the Judge Baker Children’s Center and is a member of the CFA Institute Standards of Practice Council.
Mr. Bhansali has taught at Columbia Business School as an adjunct professor of finance and currently is an adjunct faculty member at Fordham University’s Gabelli Business School. He holds the CAIA designation. Mr. Bhansali earned an MS in financial engineering from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He is also an avid follower of the ancient Vipassana meditation practice over the past 20 years.
