Howard Yu joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s portfolio management team in 2015. He is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining the team’s risk management system, as well as assisting with other portfolio-level activities such as asset allocation. He also participates in the due diligence process of long-only and hedge fund managers, plays an active role in portfolio construction, and collaborates extensively with the information technology team to augment the group’s in-house investment analytics toolkit.
Previously, Yu served as an asset allocation associate with AllianceBernstein’s multi-asset solutions group in New York. In this role, he developed macroeconomic factor models and options and variance swap strategies. He also served internships with Archelon Deutschland GmbH, a market maker and proprietary trading firm based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Yu earned a B.S. in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University.
