Norfund (Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries) is the Norwegian development finance institution (DFI) which invests risk capital in profitable private enterprises in most countries of Eastern and Southern Africa, Central America and selected countries in Southeast Asia (Bangladesh, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam). Norfund will contribute to the realisation of viable projects which balance economic, social and environmental considerations.
Norfund’s key investment areas are renewable energy, financial services and agriculture. Norfund can provide equity, quasi-equity and loan financing for business expansions, corporate restructurings, management buy-ins and buy-outs and new business ventures.
I am situated in the Southern African's regional office in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am responsible for monitoring of current financial services investment portfolio, as well as the identifying and execution of new direct investment opportunities in the financial services sector in Southern and Eastern Africa.
