Colin Geddes

Colin has a 29 year career in investment banking, international banking and now private equity. He started his career with Standard Chartered Bank in their international management program following graduation. After a series of rapid promotions and experience in Dublin, Dubai, Oman, Indonesia and Hong Kong, Colin was asked to join Standard Chartered Asia Ltd's structured finance business in 1991. This business grew into the highly successful and award winning Standard Chartered Markets. Colin led the origination effort in Asia and both originated and executed some of the region's largest debt capital markets deals. Colin was headhunted by Bankers Trust in 1997 to head up its Capital Markets business in Asia before its merger with Deutsche Bank at the end of 1998. Colin agreed to help lead the Corporate Finance effort in Asia Pacific by founding and managing the Financial Sponsors practice for the region. Colin was then headhunted in 2005 by Arab Banking Corporation to start up and lead its investment banking business globally. This involved creating the vision and strategy for ABC Investment Banking as well as building out the 5 divisions and recruiting a team of 40 professionals.
