I began writing software at the age of 16 on an Apple IIe after taking a few college courses at the local community college. That hobby grew into a successful career. I have worked for the U.S. Department of Energy studying Artificial Intelligence, the U.S. Air Force on an accounting system and a procurement system. I have worked on-site support for clients primarily in the fields of accounting and law. I have owned my own consulting business. In 2001 I landed at Brandes Investment Partners. At Brandes Investment Partners I have worked on many large projects replacing virtually all of the legacy systems that existed in the core of their business. I have been a member of the architecture team overseeing the systems that are now in place. I am now in the position of Enterprise Architect where I am formally responsible for the strategy and roadmaps used by the business and technology teams. I have primarily lived on the west coast and have traveled internationally.
