Anne DeGheest
Anne DeGheest is a pioneer entrepreneur, angel investor and mentor capitalist specializing in early-stage HealthTech start-ups. She founded MedStars Ventures Partners and HealthTech Capital, a new ecosystem between private angel investors, venture capitalists and industry to fund and mentor new "HealthTech" companies that decrease healthcare cost by leveraging computer and mobility technology. She is organizing the HealthTech Conference on October 26 at UCSF Mission Bay on how to build new HealthTech Companies.
She is an EIR with Canaan Partners and a strategic advisor with Janssen Health Innovation/J&J via the HealthTech LaunchPad. The life science companies for which she has been a founder or an early advisor have become established leader of new market categories including Pyxis (sold to Cardinal/CareFusion), Aspect Medical (sold to Covidien), VISX (acquired by AMO), Thermage (sold to Solta Medical), VISICU(sold to Philips), Masimo (Nasdaq: MASI), Nellcor (sold to Covidien), and OmniCell (Nasdaq: OMCL). She has an MBA from Harvard and a Master in Business Engineering from University of Brussels.
