David Tepper is moving away from finance in another sign that the golden days of the hedge fund industry are over. The billionaire founder of Appaloosa plans to return assets under management to investors and take a larger role in managing his Carolina Panthers NFL franchise. Tepper is the highest profile manager to quit the industry since Stan Druckenmiller shuttered his firm over eight years ago.
