Standard Bank South Africa gets first black woman as chief executive. : Standard Bank has appointed Peggy-Sue Khumalo as chief executive for its wealth division in South Africa. Khumalo is the first black woman to get the top job. Having started and spent most of her career with Investec, Khumalo, a former Miss South Africa, will join Standard Bank in February 2019. She will be responsible for the company’s wealth business in regards to short and long-term insurance, pension fund operations and fiduciary services. Ocorian’s top man, Nick Cawley decided to step down as chief executive after 15 years.
