A new report shows that West Texas' Permian Basin will continue to post the biggest oil production gains of any U.S. shale field in October. The Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas will also continue to grow. A Canadian-based oil and gas company has agreed to sell more than 180,000 acres of land in New Mexico for $480 million. Calgary-based Encana Corp., an oil and gas exploration and production company, announced the deal with Denver-based DJR Energy, LLC on Monday.
