Interest from steel importers led to this multi-million investment at Royal Portbury Dock. :
A multi-million pound steel handling facility built during lockdown has been opened at Royal Portbury Dock in Bristol. Work on the 74,600 sq ft warehouse facility, designed to handle steel coils, began in March and it is set to serve the steel market in the Midlands and South Wales. James Stangroom, Commercial Manager at the Port said it has successfully handled steel coil imports since early 2017 and demand had encouraged it to invest further, alongside exclusive cargo partner GP Logistics.
