A single-family office is searching for a Sr. Associate, Marketable Alternative Investments to manage their hedge fund and directional equity investment portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious single-family office with an emphasis on alternative assets, including hedge funds, private equity, and directional public equity strategies. Candidates will need to be intellectually curious, detail-orientated, creative, diligent and self-motivated to succeed in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research and generating investment ideas

  • Sourcing and performing in-depth due diligence on prospective and current third-party investment managers

  • Developing asset allocation targets, analyzing risks/opportunities, helping to identify and anticipate market trends

  • Composing memoranda detailing manager recommendations to the company’s internal Investment Committee.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier academic institution is required, and MBA or CFA is preferred.

  • Five to 7 years of experience managing a portfolio of hedge funds for an endowment, foundation, pension, fund-of-funds or family office

  • Strong quantitative/statistical proficiency

  • Superior written and oral communication skills and a strong academic record

  • Familiarity with analytical software packages

  • Candidates must have a strong link to Philadelphia
