Portfolio Manager – Public Equities
This position reports to the Director of Public Equities and assists in the development and implementation of internal management of equities.
Principal Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of internal management of public equities including research, development, and implementation of factor-based and/or top down/macro driven investment strategies across all segments of public equities
- Key responsibilities include trading and implementation of internally managed strategies, monitoring portfolio exposures, cash requirements, derivatives exposures, trade exceptions and settlements, and proxy voting
- Facilitate the accurate generation of various performance and risk reports
- Trade and analyze orders with the goal of managing transaction costs and risk controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration or quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering
- CFA or postgraduate qualifications such as MBA, MS in Finance or Economics is preferred
- 3-7 years of trading, researching/back-testing, and implementation experience in factor-based and/or top down investment strategies
- Strong proficiency with key analytical tools including: BlackRock Aladdin Risk Tools; Bloomberg; Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Experience with BlackRock’s Aladdin risk and trading platform is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of investment asset classes, especially publicly traded equities
- Strong aptitude for quantitative research, applied statistics and risk measurement methods
- Excellent organizational skills, high sensitivity to figures, accuracy, and attention to details
