A single-family office is searching for an Investment Analyst in Marketable Alternatives and Public Equity. This is a rare opportunity to join a prestigious single-family office with an emphasis on alternative assets, including hedge funds, private equity, and directional public equity strategies. The Investment Analyst will need to be intellectually curious, detail-orientated, creative, diligent and self-motivated to succeed in this role.
Key responsibilities:

Conducting thorough due diligence on potential and existing third-party investment managers

Analyzing the single-family office’s historical portfolio construction

Evaluating performance records

Drafting memoranda detailing manager recommendations for the family office’s internal committee
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business from a top-tier university, or equivalent experience

Understanding of basic financial concepts
-
Demonstrated interest in alternative investment
-
Strong quantitative or statistical proficiency
-
Superior written and oral communication skills
-
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable:
-
CFA/CAIA qualification
-
Familiarity with database software, such as eVestment, Bloomberg, Burgiss and Prequin

Exposure to professional money management firms or managers

Candidates with a strong link to Philadelphia
