The duty of Private Market Analyst/ Associate is to work with the Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of TI Platform Fund to assist in Private Market investments, both Fund of Funds and Syndicates. Work involves assisting with due diligence analysis of potential private market investment opportunities, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring and evaluation.
This position will report to the Portfolio Manager of Trusted Insight. The Analyst/ Associate will have an opportunity to gain broad exposure to the private equity and Venture Capital asset classes as well as an understanding of the various market participants, including fund managers, institutional investors, and various intermediaries.
Main responsibilities:
• Assist in performing analysis on data related to managers’ track records and client portfolios.
• Assist team in preparing client deliverables including memo writing, client’s proposal, and presentations in Power point, Excel, and Word.
• Perform in-depth industry research.
• Support marketing efforts including organizing meetings and materials.
• Perform ad-hoc requests under the direction of Managing Director and Portfolio Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3)
• 0-5 years of experience (e.g., Consulting, Investment Banking, Valuation, Finance)
• Strong Excel abilities, including advanced functions (VBA / macros a plus)
• Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques
• Strong PowerPoint proficiency and experience working on client deliverables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibilities.
