British artificial intelligence startup Healx has just raised a $56 million Series B led by one of Europe's biggest investors, Atomico. "Originally we weren't planning on doing a Series B this year but Atomico approached us and we were aligned in terms of our vision to scale quickly into Europe," CEO Dr Tim Guilliams told Business Insider. The Cambridge-based company only raised its Series A last year and is looking to expand rapidly with its rare disease treatment programmes in a market worth an estimated $220 billion.
