Whitney Rowe
Whitney is a Kauffman Finalist with a background in venture investing, fund investing and video game development, currently in search of a new role with a venture capital firm to go with her Kauffman Fellowship.
Whitney currently works for Hatteras Funds, an alternative asset firm based in Raleigh, NC with over $2 billion in assets under management. She manages two late-stage venture capital funds which typically co-invest along side top tier venture capital managers.
Whitney is also a co-founder of Joosy, Inc., a Raleigh-based startup that harnesses the power of the cloud to enhance online video and gaming experiences for consumers. Joosy was the recipient of a North Carolina IDEA grant and is currently in negotiations with investors and pilot customers.
While earning her MBA at UNC-Chapel Hill, Whitney worked for local BDC Triangle Capital on a number of late-stage venture deals ranging from solar slurry processing to innovative vending machines. She also chaired the 3rd annual UNC Alternative Investment Conference, a well-regarded professional event.
Prior to Hatteras, Whitney was an International Product Manager and video game designer for video game publisher Ubisoft in Paris and in Morrisville, NC. She collaborated with top-notch international teams on the design, development, and marketing of several of AAA console titles
