Tyson evaluates investment opportunities for the foundation’s $4.8Bn portfolio with a primary focus on private strategies. He leads sourcing, diligence and ongoing management of fund, co-invest and direct investments across geographies for venture, growth, buyout, distressed and private credit strategies. He serves on various boards & advisory committees and has served as an investment committee member for one of the foundation’s largest fund relationships. Tyson also provides periodic support for the public manager portfolio, sourcing, underwriting and monitoring public equity and hedge fund strategies. Prior to joining GKFF, Tyson was a credit analyst managing a $2Bn corporate credit portfolio at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago, covering large public and private middle market companies across several industries. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master’s in Finance from the University of Illinois, and has earned the CFA designation.
