Our Story I started a financial planning and wealth management business in 1983 out of college. I was fortunate in my timing. Markets were selling at historically low valuations and financial planning was a new industry. At the end of 2015 my firm merged with a local community bank. During the merger we filed for trust powers and now are a Trust Company. Our business model has three operations. The first is our financial planning and wealth management arm. We are fee only with 8 advisors and 6 support staff and manage $325MM. The second operation is our trust services. We provide trustee services for traditional trusts along with bill paying and guardianship services for elderly clients. We are in the beginning stages of forming our Family office for a handful of families. We provide a holistic planning experience coupled with portfolio management. We manage the accounts on a discretionary basis and provide performance reporting along with pre-determined financial planning services. These services typically include retirement capital assessment (Is the client on track), estate and beneficiary planning, insurance planning, income tax planning opportunities and generational wealth education. I’m a graduate of Central Washington University with degrees in accounting and finance and a minor in economics. I also was a founding director of Community First Bank in Kennewick, WA. and served as chairman from its inception in 1997 to April of 2009 and continue serving as a director. I completed my CFP designation in 1986 and the CIMA designation through the Wharton School in 1999. All of our advisors are either CFPs or CFP candidates and have accounting, finance or economic degrees. We believe in a commitment to life-long learning.
