I am a recent graduate from Yale ('14), currently interning at the YMCA Retirement Fund. My previous internships were both in petroleum engineering, and occurred at Williams and Anadarko. At Williams, my main project was a study of our commingled wells to determine cause of mineral precipitate build-up. Luckily, I discovered the answer, and recommended drilling strategy changes accordingly. Day to day, I also analyzed data from our conventional wells to catch production drop-offs, to determine the cause of the drop-offs, and to recommend strategies for increasing production. At Anadarko, I modeled well-bores to my assist team with well completion strategies, and to demonstrate legal and lease compliance to regulators and partners. I also studied the activities, deliverables, and documents of my team members in order to design and recommend new, intuitive filing system for the team’s network drive.
