Salem Shuchman

Salem Shuchman is the Managing Partner of Entrepreneur Partners, L.P. Prior to forming Entrepreneur Partners, he was a Senior Partner at Apax Partners, a private equity group managing $12 billion in the U.S. and Europe. He ran the leveraged transaction group, which made investments across multiple industry sectors in the U.S. and Europe and focused on media and direct marketing companies, with historical transactions in the technology, health care and retail sectors. In addition, Salem was formerly a Principal at Odyssey Partners, a hedge fund managing a public portfolio as well as direct investments in private equity.
Prior to joining Odyssey Partners, he was Executive Director and Founder of the Chester Community Improvement Project, Inc., a community-based economic development organization in a low-income community. Salem founded the housing program, which sells newly constructed and rehabilitated homes to local families and provides counseling in order to promote home ownership.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Science, Economics & Philosophy from Swarthmore College. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Managers of Swarthmore College. Salem has been married for 28 years and has three children. He is a triathlete and three-time Ironman finisher.
