Councelor and Director of General Planning Department, Nobusuke Tamaki is Professor at Junior College Division, Otsuma Womens University located in Tokyo. He joined the Bank of Japan in 1979. After holding various positions in the Bank including Supervision Department, Planning Department, International Department and Representative Office of the Bank in Washington D.C., in 2001 he was seconded to the National Institute for Research Advancement (NIRA) as Senior Researcher and led a number of policy researches. Then, he was, in 2004, seconded to the Deposit Fund Managerrporation of Japan, where he held a few positions including the Executive Director of the Treasury Department. He then, in 2009, moved to the Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan, where he worked as Councilor / Director-General, Planning Department. Hes been in the current position since April, 2011.
