Mr. Stavar joined CCM in 2010 and is responsible for marketing and for the institutional and consultant business development of the firm. He leads the sales effort for promotion of the firm’s real estate investment trust (REIT) and US large cap growth equity strategies. Before joining CCM he served seven years as a portfolio manager and partner of Gulf Investment Management, a large cap value equity firm which was acquired by OppenheimerFunds. Prior to OppenheimerFunds, Mr. Stavar had a combined fifteen year track record, as Assistant Treasurer of two multi-billion dollar defined benefit plans -- BASF Corporation and Allegheny Technologies Incorporated. As a plan sponsor he was responsible for establishing the investment policies, portfolio manager selection, in-house equity programs and related portfolio structures for U.S., Canadian and UK pension master trusts. He served as a member of each corporate investment committee with direct report to their respective Board of Directors. For a three year period between heading defined benefit plans , Mr. Stavar served as the CIO of Mellon Bank’s $40B Securities Lending Business. Mr. Stavar received his B.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ. He holds designations as both a CPA and CFP, and is a member of the AICPA and the Financial Planning Association.
