Michael Reist was most recently the Chief Investment Officer for Phillips Academy, an independent school located in Andover, MA with endowment assets of approximately $1 billion. Michael joined the Academy’s Investment Office in 2006 and previously served as Director of Investments and Interim Chief Investment Officer. Prior to joining the Academy’s New York-based Investment Office, Reist was at Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York where he performed various administrative, teaching, and coaching roles. Michael began his career in the Leveraged Finance Group within the Investment Banking Division of Bear, Stearns and Co. Inc. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Amherst College and holds a M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Michael serves on the Investment Committee of The College Board. He is a CFA charterholder.
