Maksim (Max) leads SIG’s investment operations team, whose responsibilities include public and private market investment transaction processing, collateral management, liquidity monitoring, trade settlement processing, account reconciliations and related investment operations functions across client portfolios. Working directly with the Chief Technology Officer, Max oversees multiple automation and process improvement projects to strengthen internal controls, maximize efficiencies and enhance scalability.
Prior to Strategic, Max was the head of investment operations at Georgetown University, where he was responsible for all operational and investment support functions, including accounting and external audit support, compliance, performance analytics, risk monitoring, as well as information systems and data storage. Prior to Georgetown, Max worked in the audit practice at KPMG.
He holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, a Global Executive MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, and a BS in Accounting from Towson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant holding a CGMA designation, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
