Joel Levin is the Chief Investment Officer for LCA Capital, a Latin American based family office in NYC. In this role, Mr. Levin is responsible for managing all aspects of the investment process including asset allocation, investment selection & portfolio construction. Prior to joining LCA Capital in 2016, he was the Chief Investment Officer for Legacy Heritage Partners, a family office & private foundation based in New York. Prior to Legacy Heritage, Mr. Levin served as Portfolio Manager & Director of Research at Cross Shore Capital Management, a New York based fund of hedge funds. Before joining Cross Shore in May 2008, Mr. Levin spent over 10 years at JPMorgan. Most recently, he was Head of Hedged Equity Strategies in the Alternatives Investment Group. In this role he was responsible for evaluating and selecting hedge funds for over $10 billion in private client assets. In addition, he was responsible for structuring the JPMorgan Global Access Hedge Fund Strategies Portfolio, the Private Bank’s first proprietary Hedge Fund of Funds. Prior to this Mr. Levin was a Portfolio Manager and Senior Member in the Multi-Manager Investment Advisory Group, where he managed the JPMorgan Multi-Manager Small Cap Growth & Value Funds, two diversified manager of manager strategies. Before launching the funds, Joel was responsible for building and developing the Private Bank’s Multi-Manager Investment Advisory Group, a $5 billion platform of third party mutual funds, commingled vehicles and separate account managers. Mr. Levin holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University where he was appointed to the Widner Circle Scholars Program.
