Joe Bryant is an Investment Director at the UCLA Investment Company, with discretionary authority over The UCLA Foundation's $2.5 billion endowment. Joe is responsible for overseeing the endowment assets across global public and private markets, including (i) a venture capital portfolio comprised of direct and indirect investments; (ii) investments in emerging markets in Asia including India, S.E. Asia, China and Japan; and (iii) the global long-only and developed markets hedge fund portfolio. Ms. Bryant has 12 years of experience in the international asset management industry, across private equity, venture capital, public equities and emerging markets. Prior to UCLA, Ms. Bryant was Managing Director, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at an Asia-focused asset management firm. Prior to that, Ms. Bryant spent a decade in private practice with global firms in New York, Asia, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles advising on cross-border corporate transactions and structuring investment platforms for GPs across the spectrum of alternative investments, as well as university endowments, multinationals, sovereign wealth funds and family offices, including 5+ years as counsel to Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO).
