I’m a deeply fundamental investor with the ability to look across asset classes to find attractive opportunities. I’ve successfully driven change in multi-asset, multi-manager portfolios to improve long-term performance. My work over the past 5½ years at Clark Enterprises provides the best example of my abilities. I initiated a comprehensive portfolio restructuring that involved terminating 36 investment strategies, hiring 21 new ones and reallocating 80% of the assets. This led to a dramatic improvement in performance. When I joined, the trailing five-year returns fell in the bottom 95% of the 400 participants in Cambridge Associates annual endowment and foundation survey. Currently, five-year returns are in the top 5%.
