For the past seven years, Jim was a Director with a consulting / advisory firm that managed $2 billion in assets for a group of non-profit entities in the US and a select group of wealthy families. At this role he was responsible for portfolio construction, research, due diligence and client management. Jim has invested globally with leading investors in a variety of geographic and strategy areas including long equity, long/short equity, distressed credit, structured credit, global sovereign bonds, private equity, private equity in real assets (including renewables, real estate, timber and oil and gas) and others. Jim has underwritten investments in funds, co-investments and highly structured single entity vehicles to access compelling investment opportunities. He has been able to provide both macro views on fundamental, value driven opportunities as well as micro analysis of specific return and risks distributions with a focus on creating asymmetric risk – reward profiles for clients. Jim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Metropolitan State University in Denver Colorado and a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. Jim is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
